Glen and Rob's Big Adventure

We're too cheap for postcards so this will have to do...

Images from Africa...

Hi everyone,

We have now concluded the travel part of our trip and will head to Bagamoyo tomorrow to start our volunteer work at the Uhuru Youth Centre for African Arts.

We have just got back from mounting Mt. Kilimanjaro which was amazing. For the most part it was a nice easy climb to the top, but the last day was 1300 metres up and then 2800 metres down. We started our summit at 12.30am and made it to the top just after 6am. The trip up was made all the more difficult for Robyn as she woke up a hour before climbing with a stomach bug that had zapped her energy. All obstacles aside we both made it to the top which was the highest we have ever been (5895m).

We have tried to put as many photos as we could from the last 6 weeks and hopefully they give you a good summary of our adventures. We have had an amazing time and we hope you enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed being here to take them.

We will keep you posted as much as we can of our time volunteering, but we are not even sure if Internet will be available.

We hope you are all well,

Till next time,

Glen and Robyn
