Last weekend, we spent a day exploring the beach city of Brighton. Given the string of particularly hot weekends, we thought we would try our luck and enjoy the heat. We were able to enjoy the day, although the weather wasn’t as nice as we hoped. One of the highlights of the day, and also our time here so far in England, was the Royal Pavilion. This was built as a seaside get away for King George V (I think) and was decorated in an Asian style. We also enjoyed the tacky, yet entertaining, Brighton Pier. All in all it was a fun day, and here are some photo’s for you to enjoy.

A view of The Royal Pavilion from the outside. We couldn’t get the interior.

Another view of The Royal Pavilion

The AWESOME stone beach. Norman Bay eat your heart out. It made beach volleyball tough too!!

Even in Brighton, Australia is on top of the world (albeit cast on a metal donut)

Brighton Pier

A nice view back on the beach and the town from the pier
In other news, Jay told me today that he would be coming to London once again. Although it was only 14 hours notice, we will be happy to see him again as the last time was all to breif.
Till next time,
Robyn and Glen
I’ll leave you with what Robyn gets up to in her spare time :)
