Glen and Rob's Big Adventure

We're too cheap for postcards so this will have to do...

Turning Japenese...

Written by Glen and Robyn on

Hello all who are still actually checking this,

We have just finished our time at Iguazu falls. We took a lot of photos. (over 200 odd, hence the title of the post). Yes, I will post some soon (as soon as we sort out this mess with our Brazilian visa and our itinerary)

Seriously though, Iguazu falls knocked our socks off. We were so, so lucky with the weather as we arrive in a torrential downpour which was meant to last for the 3 days we would be in the area. As it turned out, the first morning we went looked a little gloomy, but the only times we got wet was from the mist that the falls created and the boat ride that put us smack bang under one of the smaller falls purposfully to soak us.

The whole place was really cool. The Argentinian side was really up close and felt a bit like we were in jurassic park. They had all these lookouts that we could go to and some were seperated by a train that went back and forth. We spent the whole day there and did everything we possibly could, literaly. We even got to see the “Devil’s Throat” twice. That was the main attraction where the most water rushs down.

The Brazillian side was more of a panoramic scenic look of the whole park. Once again it was meant to be a crap day weather wise but we were lucky enough that the rain held off right until we recieved the bad news about our visa extension and then poured on us the whole WALK home, jumping into a pool fully clothed would have left us dryer. Basically we saw the same thing again from different angles, but no, we did not get bored at all. It was fantastic and we would recommend it to anyone that has any aspirations of traveling in South America.

Well that’s all for now, to many other things to worry about. Hopefully it turns out for the best.

Cheers,

Glen and Robyn
